After the three-day July 2020 session of Mission u session and two in-person alternatives were cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic, the Mission u team began offering online sessions of the Spiritual Growth study, Finding Peace in an Anxious World. The study seems particularly appropriate for this time. It uses the book of Proverbs and “The Serenity
Prayer” as a guide to help Christians find their way through anxiety, worry, and fear, and move towards God’s peace.
The study sessions will be held Wednesday evenings from 7 to 9 pm beginning Jan. 20th and continues for 5 weeks. The study, open to all, involves 4 sessions, with the optional 5th week for additional activities that go with the study. Leaders for the January sessions will be Barbara Hess, former Mission u Dean, and Pastor Karen Martin, recently appointed to serve in the Connellsville Co-operative Parish.
