Operation Christmas Child – Help a Child in Need
Children need great joy now more than ever. Trinity will be
participating in the Operation Christmas Child mission project
distributed by Samaritan’s Purse again this year. A shoebox gift is
an opportunity to share the love of Jesus with a child in need. We
are prayerfully considering ways to modify our collection and
processing in light of COVID-19.
There are several ways that you can join us in this mission project:
- Pray each day for this project.
- Pick up and pack – Monday through Friday during church office hours, pick up a preprinted, sturdy shoebox at the church. Inside each shoebox will be a pamphlet with detailed instructions on everything you need to know to successfully pack a box. Pack the shoebox and return it to the church.
- Build a shoebox online at Operation Christmas Child’s website through Trinity’s goal page
- Give money to cover shipping costs ($9.00 per shoe box).
Here are some ideas of what you might pack in the shoeboxes:
- TOYS: small cars, balls, dolls, stuffed animals, yo-yos, jump ropes, playing cards, water guns, etc.
- SCHOOL SUPPLIES: pens, pencils with a sharpener, crayons, markers, coloring books, calculator
- HYGIENE ITEMS: toothbrush in wrapper, mild soap in plastic bag, comb & hair accessories
- OTHER ITEMS: socks, caps, sunglasses
Please do not include: candy, gum, toothpaste, war-related items, seeds, food, liquids or lotions, medications or vitamins, breakable items, glass containers, or aerosol cans
All shoeboxes must be turned in by Monday, November 9th by the front table in the Welcome Center.
Thank you for your support!
